As part of the Black Liberation Walking Tour, BAMP is proud to have created the winning mural entry that graces the Hoover-Foster neighborhood. This mural features iconic figures and landmarks such as Ruth Beckford, C.L. Dellums, St. Augustine’s Church, and the California Hotel. It serves as a vivid celebration of the area’s rich legacy, inviting viewers to delve deeper into the history and contemporary challenges of the Black liberation movement. Through this mural, BAMP continues its commitment to creating public art that educates, inspires, and fosters community engagement.
